A programme running in parallel with the gallery’s exhibition programme, bringing together projects that resonate with and expand upon its ongoing research.
BAINS HANTÉS suggests an intermittent presence: something that appears, moves through a space, and remains there for an indeterminate period of time. It is from this sense of proximity and encounter that the programme takes shape.
Conceived as a space for exploration beyond the gallery’s developing roster, BAINS HANTÉS creates opportunities to engage with artists and practices through shared interests, perspectives, and approaches to contemporary art.
Rather than following a predetermined framework or fixed rhythm, the programme will unfold freely alongside DES BAINS’ ongoing activity. Each exhibition will exist independently, while contributing to an expanding constellation of ideas and positions that informs the gallery’s broader research.
At its core, BAINS HANTÉS is about encounter: between artistic practices, between artists and the gallery, and between different ways of thinking about art.
